So let me get this straight...'88s can't use Euro bumpers?

I'm putting together a list of parts I need for my '88 325iS stroker project (aesthetics) and figured I might spring for a set of Euro bumpers if I can find a good deal.

However, the great party pooper himself, Ryan Stewart, told me via AIM that the Euro bumpers won't work on an '88.

    True? :(

    100%

Think of it in terms of tail lights and arches. With the updated bodystyle comes the inability to use euro bumpers. :?

well, you can in the front.. not sure about the rear, the bumper is probably too short, since you have to shorten the plastic bumpers to put them on early cars.

Yep. All depends on if you got the facelift or not. I thought 88 was still pre-face lift or atleast not all the way changed over yet?

              ;)

              Just doing my homework, boyee.

So then gentlemen it stands to reason that the 89+ bumers will bolt right up...

But is the front valance the same on the '88 as on the '89+?

Assuming I have to replace the valance anyways (front end damage) can I put on an 89+ front valance?

I'm still in search of euro bumpers, and may be for a long time.

Damn, only if I had 330$.

I halfway swtiched all of my stereo system stuff into my eta from my escort. Still need to sell the escort and clean it and tune it first. If he still has a set in a month, let me know. I bookmarked the page.

The 88s got the late model valence Ben. You can just find another (88-91) and use it.

I know that's true for the front, but for the rear too?
