    IX kit on convertible

Hi guys, I am in the process of building some really meaty 16" BBS rs wheels and looking at my options of stretching, pulling and poking and it looks like another option would be to run the IX flair kit and chop out the original rear fender arches (all the way up to the IX mounting holes)

Has anyone tried fitting the IX kit on a cabrio? I know the rocker panels are different but how different is the mounting for the side skirts? thanks

Im pretty sure that the side skirts will not work.

No, the IX is just like any other late model, lower rear arches. The sideskirts won't work unless you rig something up to mount them.

I'm thinking about doing this on my 89 325is, like everyones saying the rockers on the vert are much taller so the skirt will like tack on there but won't cover the whole thing, would look goofy.

no, everyone is saying the vert's have the same low-arches as all the late model cars, and late ix's.

but that isn't the problem on a vert, the problem is the rocker panel is much deeper.
