Blitz Black Turbo E30 (old thread was about Plasti-dip)

So I'm about to order in the stuff to plastic dip my whole car, I'm doing gunmetal grey. Has anyone seen this done to an e30 before? Pics if so?

Decided to take it a different way and went with Blitz black John Deere Paint, not plasti dip. This is a single stage paint job. Pics are up but start on the 9th page.

Never heard of anyone doing it to a whole car. Very interesting.

No, but plastidip does not hold well to the sun in time.

Looks like it's really hard to get an even coat. But - at least you can remove it when you want.

you really ought to paint it with real paint. don't go making e30's look like a bunch of ragged-ass beaters.

borrow a compressor, gun, practice, and buy some decent budget paint.

The first time you rub ANYTHING up against it, it will rub off in that spot, and then there's no way to fix it.

Not to mention, I didn't see him mask the radiator/ac condenser. Whoops.

did my rims with it...worked well to freshen up crappy weaves, filled in a lot of imperfections and is easy to respray on.

Wouldnt do a whole car though. Trim also comes out nice.

I found this and that's what made me want to do it, I have a place to do a real paint job but I just want to do something different and if i don't like it I can always peal it off after.

Photo shop of what it might look like.

it comes out okay, this is cool for super temporary thing.

you can't compare a paint job with this, it's not the same thing.
