It can definitely look good. I actually look forward to seeing progress, there was always something about the sides of your car I didn't like, but don't use the grills.

Are you using the m-tech II side panels?

You know...it's funny. I have been planning a very similar widebody-type addition for a little while now, but I'd be leaving my current front and rear bumpers, just flaring them out at the sides to match wider arches.

I wish I could do a render or something, but I can't. It definitely is kinda disturbing how similar our styling taste is.

I don't exactly like what you have rendered so far, but it's similar. I know what I'd do, but I'm in no hurry. My flares won't be nearly as extreme.

                  Forgot to mention:

I vote new shell also. So much time and effort has gone into your current e30, that IMHO it wouldn't be right to tear down most of whats been done.

I say straight 318i (I got one you can have, shipping is gonna be a bitch though :P) with a gutted interior, sick cage, 1 seat, DOHC motor (or turbo m20, but I know thats not your style) and a badass widebody.

Interesting discussion. My only input would be to echo the thought of using a clean old shell. You should be able to get one for a few hundred. Keep enjoying your current ride.

a bit of correction jordan. you can fit larger tires PROPERLY under a M3 body. unlike your current setup where you cant have any rebound or your going to tear up your rear quarters, the M3 flows all the way up.
I think this is great. you are going to do some crap that you would bust on everyone else on this forum for. An E30 is a box, and your trying to turn it into a bubble-whatever. It will look like crap, and you will later regret it.
I am the first one to say everyone has thier own taste, so i say go for it if thats what you want.--but I think it will look like crap.
good luck with the destruction of your clean car.

I say put the cats back in the bag, and throw them off a really tall bridge.

If you're going to add a fully functional rear diffuser to the body work and front fender louvers, you're going to throw off your aerodynamic balance towards the front of the car. (not to mention significantly increase drag/weight/rolling resistance by having 285s all around) To counteract the increased bite you'll get at speed on the front, you should add downforce to the rear....
