You should definitely not do this to your car. Start it on an empty chassis. Why would you waste a great paint job? I guess if you don't want to go through replacing small parts on a new chassis, but if you sold yours you would come out with enough money to do it. Since you plan on replacing the m20, all you would need to do is replace the suspension on the new car, swap in a cheap is interior and swap over your vaders.
Fiberglass... not sure if I would use it on the fenders. Find someone that is good with metal work to replicate those flairs, then tack em up. If you use fiberglass just don't tie all the body panels together, one small accident and here comes a full respray.
Also, that front opening better have an intercooler behind it. I hate seeing ricers in town with the big ass opening showing off their radiator support.
