I hear one can get the good stuff (solvent based) in Nevada. I have been considering getting a paint job in TJ. I wonder how many members here have done so..

Go to an automotive paint store with the code and they can match it.

Ace Hardware. Look for the spray can cap that's sorta close.

Any automotive paint shop can mix the factory color if given the paint code. Some can also put it into a spray can if that is what you are looking for.

But the quality of the paint will be awful if it's mixed in LA as paint shops just mix water with pigments there.
Isn't it better to go at least to Ventura?

Isn't it all of Cali? I know my painter has been talking about the drive to go water based paints in recent years. Most states, you can walk in any automotive paint supplier and purchase the raw materials.

Yep, we have stores that supply all the body shops.

                    Simon...? Bueller...?

Here is the shop I used... They are on the westside and will mix and put it in a spray can. They will do either a Single stage paint or Two stage(requires clear coat) I think I paid about 25 bucks https://www.yelp.com/biz/rays-auto-p...ly-culver-city

How many cans of color? cans of clear?

Might go this route to paint my lip.

What about Finish Master? They should be able to mix a can of paint too.
