Pics of my rear flares. Opinions please.

Well here are some pics of my rear flares I have been working on which are in rough form. The pics are about a month old, I have been busy on getting my daily driver painted latley. I want to know what everyone thinks so far. The bottom of the fender you wont be able to see so disregard that, it will be hidden behind some box type side skirts I think. I am at the point where I can still change it somewhat. I have been thinking about filling in the space where the vent is and just having it smooth to the door jamb. I am interested in some opinions. If you dont like it plase just state. "I don't like it" thanks-ben

I took styling hints from the late 70's IMSA 320 race cars. Thats where I picked up the idea from. This is also a race car mind you.

yes, I personally think you should. It'll look goofy open, like those hideous ferrari-slat kits i've seen on e30s.

its your car though, do what makes you happy

Its kinda too late for that. It matches the front fenders though.

also, if u could do some kidna door moulding, it would help the edges out a little.

so the "widebody" part starts somewhere in the door rather than right at the end of the door.

i like it's potential, but it needs work.

While I can respect the effort, that design looks nothing like the IMSA 320i Turbo

If you did it right at least it would be cool, as of right now it looks like a bunch of fiberglass bonded to the car... which will last reallllly long at high speeds (except not)

the top edge i feel is to long till it hits the car, it needs to be tucked in, and the flare...well should flare out from the top also not just from the side, also i think the front gap should be filled or atleast made closer to the body, a for effort though....i'd like to see the finish results when u have it done.
