Not really feeling it. I don't know what you mean by "turbo race car", but for classes that allow body mods (ie widebody), most racers just slap on a set of flairs using bolts/rivets/dzus fasteners. That way when you kiss a wall you can easily repair the damage.

What class/sanctioning body are you running this car in? I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would allow these body mods and a turbo???

Again, as jordan said, I can appreciate the work, just not really feeling it.

I'm interested as well. It looks like they're gulping in an aweful lot of air. That would be great on something like a rear engine turbo Porsche, but there's no need for it on an E30. Just increases drag.

i say close up the open vent...looks like it will act as a parachute...not to mention its just too big of a vent..also, i was wondering, are you going to leave the stock body panels underneath? and if so, wouldn't that make it pointless to do a widebody in fiberglass, because of the lack of weight-loss? it would be like these honda guys with their HUGE over bumper/fender body kits... just the widebody would be cool, lots of weight reduction i would assume. interested in seeing a final product though.

good concept, bad lines... needs to be wider to look right, its just a bit goofy right now.

nice effort though! I do bodywork and I know how hard this stuff is to do, hats off to ya.

I like it, but I think it would look better if it followed the body lines of the car. Similar to the E30 M3 rear quarters but wider.

good start. not sure if it's functional to leave that open like that, maybe only a spot towards the bottom to vent the brakes

take heed to jordan's model. hottness, and i've seen a million widebody bimmers and porsches, i go to watkins glen for vintage races, porsche races, etc at least once or twice a year.

The front fenders look very much like that model Jordan posted. As for the rears, it is very, very hard to create a single piece trunk and both rear quarters. I am gonna experiment with some things on the rears and see what looks good. The side skirts that are on that model are about the same thing I am looking to do.

Honestly? I don't care what it looks like! You need huge freaking tires to go really fast with the kind of power you'll have. People will be commenting about how fast the car is not about how it looks. Don't be concerned about what anyone thinks about the car. Make it functional! It's a race car. Looks to me like it'll be badass!

Although its in its early stages and will need more work to make it look great, I can really dig all the work you're putting into the car. It takes alot of patience and time, and eventually you'll make it look nice as hell. But you'd better get 16x13 wheels

I will post some pics soon of the front fenders. Probably tomorrow. But they flare out and there is an opening the length of the door, so you can see the front tire. -Ben
