paint is going to chip and flake. you can get molded black grills on ebay for about $45 - no chipping or peeling to worry about there.

Are there any particular "name brand" stores that carry SEM, because I've looked at Autozone, Discount Auto Parts, and Sherwin Williams and none of them have it?

^I had the same problem. I just went to their website and got it.

Guys, SEM is a professional product. I buy it at upholstery supply stores, wholesale. It may be for sale elsewhere, I know of several auto body supply stores that carry it, but I have never seen it in any traditional retailer.

Yup, give it about 500 miles and you'll start to see evidence of chipping. it sux but is a part of life... I'd just get the all black molded grills too...

I have put probably around 3000 miles on mine, highway and city. No chipping or flaking.

I'd just skip all the trouble with painting and get the black ones from EBAY. Did the same for my E36...

I got 6 months out of mine. maybe you don't have many gravel trucks or bugs, or maybe you don't drive on the freeway. but chipping is inevitable..

there are black plastic covers that snap over your chrome grill, but AFAIK the only place to buy a molded black one is ebay..

The NAPA in my no name town had SEM paint in it. I was very surprised.
It was $$$, too.
