e30 hood seals

    yes where I'm at right now. old used one piece, new 3 piece or 2 new short seals joined in the middle. I got two new seals. Looks like they aren't metal reinforced like there trunk seal. Thinking about cutting them clean at one side and gluing them together.

    I ended up buying the 2 smaller ones. Haven't gotten the middle one yet. I am still using the larger one piece since it is still in good condition.

    Is the norm to get the shorter one for the windshield area and the 2 fenders ones? Is there a issue using the 3 piece with water getting in where the meet up on either side?

    I can post pics for those in the same predicament.

    did you end up doing that 3 piece seal? How did it work out for you? Going through the same situation.. 3020mm is no more. Thinking about doing two 1520mm but there will be a joint in the middle by the firewall, not sure if it's good idea ..

    I need help from the guys doing full restorations or have installed newer hood seals. I want to buy it new in prep to painting the car. Online there seems to be talk about the original 1 piece being changed out for 3 pieces. I have a 91 with the larger 1-piece. ETK sees to have the following and all seems available from BMW/aftermarket.
