Man, I so knew this was going to start happening. Dead E30's I hate to say but I predict 4 over the course of this winter.

So sorry to hear that Chase, Your the second member here I have heard that has had a run in with a solid object just last night.

Snow and RWD don't mix unless you have dedicated snow shoes. Please invest in them if all possible.

snow tires dont help on a E30. if it snows DO NOT DRIVE A e30 period

i got my fathers AUDI, just to prove how good the car is, it got out of this mess NO PROBLEM

              Andre, give it up man.

I've run snows on an e30 for 4 years, never gotten it stuck, never gotten it in a wreck.

With 150 pounds of sand in the trunk, it handles 7-8 inch unplowed roads fine when you maintain momentum, even when going uphill.

Maybe an e30 with ridiculously sized tires won't handle snow, but properly setup, they do fine.

yea come to NYC where there is 2 feet of snow not 2 inches like OH. and i dont keep 150 pounds of sand around my house. Plus i would never ever drive my car in the snow cause i would lose my bumper on the first corner

bottom line RWD SUCKSSSSSSSS in snow i dont care if u got ASR or what not, its just not ment for that. Quattro owns u :P

What would an Audi do in 2 feet of snow?

Two feet of snow, you better have a big, truck-based SUV or just a good ol' boy pickup truck.

Your car sucks in the snow because its to fuckin low and you dont run winter tires. I've driven my e30 for 2 winters, with no sand in the back, and never had a problem.
I've also gotten out of situations my buddy in an v6 A4 Quattro got stuck in.

I prefer RWD over FWD any day. Quattro is a nice change, but still not as much fun. Bottom line, if you think a RWD car sucks in the snow, you just dont know how to drive.

I agree a Q would be better but an E30 does just fine with tires for the occasion. I have run snow the last three years being in Germany and had no issues with mine.

I used have a 87 4000csQ with a Calloway turbo system. It was good in the snow, but got worse when I lowered it with Eibachs.

Sure thing Andre. Sign up for a White Mountain Chapter Advanced Skills School and I'll be happy to show you how to drive.

well im not taking that out, cause the truth should be hear, BTW if you know anything about drifting, you will take back what you said. Second of all, i just want to say that its a bitch to drive a e30 in the snow, and i dont do it not because i cant drive but because the fact that the risk of crashing is much bigger then if i drive the audi. And last but not least, you and charlie can take your stupid remark back, about salmmed e30's with streched rubber not be able to drive in the snow at all

these guys ahd a meet in germany, they went ot eat in a restaruant when they came back they found their cars, like this, and guess waht they were able to drive back home
