Painted bumper surrounds, unpainted tucked diving boards?

Ran a search, looked at a lot of cars, but didn't find what I was looking for. I'm a n00b, so maybe I just didn't submit the right query. Apologies all around if this has been discussed - just gimme a link and I will shutup.

I looked through a lot of pictures, but all I could find were cars with either:

    A. tucked bumpers, but stock "black" bumper surrounds, or
    B. tucked bumpers, painted bumper surrounds... but with the bumpers are painted body color as well, and
    C. (of course, lots of pics with plastic bumper covers)

Has anybody tucked their diving boards, painted the bumper surrounds, but left the bumpers themselves unfinished?

Pics would be helpful, if anybody has done it/seen it.

    Thanks in advance!

Here's what I did (unfortunately I don't have pictures as I just did this and I haven't put it all back on the car yet):

Originally I wanted to paint the surrounds body color, but my white is faded that spray paint white is a vastly different color. So I sanded and repainted the surrounds black, tucked the bumper, and also painted the strips on the front of the bumper black. I also used some aluminum polish to polish the bumper itself. So basically it's all factory except for the bumper tuck.

Although I haven't put it all together yet, it looks great sitting there, I should have it all together this weekend. If so, I'll post some pics on here to show you.
