well im not an IDIOT when it coms to parking i know how to park without hitting the curb, but some ppl cannot do that. And driving like that is fine the tire will not pop out of the rim
last but not least WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO THAT?? because the law in GErmany requires the thread to be inside the fender like in that car. so you see when that guys used a 16X10 he had to put 215's on

ppl like you should drive a FORD and nothing else, you have NO sense of STYLE whatsoever, and u know what BMW VW or other german cars, that are tuned the "EURO" way because those cars have a fine line, and that style suits them PERFECT. Just remember one thing not all german cars are ment for Auto-Xing

I thought the trend in Germany was to widen or pull fenders, so larger treads could be run. Wouldn't that make strenching tires the cheap way of running wide wheels!

If he say, pulled fenders 40mm like on this one German car I saw, he could at least run 245 on his 10x17 wheel.

yea but some guys just take the streching to the extrme which is def. kool. depending on how wide the wheel is and what kind of an offset the wheel has, is how you decide what tire to run. Im running 215/40/16's on my 16X9, cause i have no rubbing issues, but some ppl who have a high or low offset might need to use a shorter rubber in order for the thread to stick under the fender kinda like the guy in the pic

Lol. I was more along the lines as referring to my comparison of MB and Buick as a hyperbole. I used the exaggeration of the comparison to emphasis my dislike of Mercedes. It is not that I was a moron, I was using a figure of speech. ;)
