I sold a AC Schnitzer dead pedal to a friend with part number on the back side a coupe. Here is pic. Some ACS black pedals do not have part numbers.
    This is for a coupe.

Jack, how about some carpet screws, velcro or an aluminum bracket that mounts sort of like the coupe M deadpedal does?

I dunno...I must say that I much prefer an OEM looking solution. This is the E34 M5 pad reinforced with a custom backing.

OT but how much did that one cost you Barry? Those are pretty rare from what I'm told.

I paid $60 shipped for that used M tech pedal. I got just the pad though, not the entire panel (which you can't use anyway) so I had to find a way to make it rigid. The E34 pedal fits the vert surprisingly well. There's even an indentation that lines up with the running board cover so it looks like it belongs there.

^i think he's not sure why OP had an ///M on the dead pedal. I'm interested but I also prefer the stock look of that e34 pad above though.

                              Because it's in a M-Technic.

We've been looking at a lot of different styles of existing dead pedals - modifying them to fit our cars etc. Also looking at designs for fab'ing one up. There are a number of possibilities but the two main hurdles are 1) a secure fastening method 2) maintaining the width between the carpeted left foot rest edge & the clutch pedal. In coupes this distance seems to be 2 - 2 1/2" but is half that space in a cabrio. In the vert it is real crowded in the foot-well, especially for the left foot.

I tried a e92 3 series dead pedal & it fits in pretty nice. the gap is still very small.

As you can see, the dead pedal frame fits snug against the edge of the carpet underneath.

I think Barry's solution with the e34M5 pad & a fabricated base has a lot of potential. Barry, could you post some close-up pic's? How is it secured?

                                Thanks,
