    Brake Ducts missing part

I installed the brake ducts today and realized I am missing a part the connects to the inside of the fender liner and I am not sure what part number to look for. Can anyone help me identify this part?

I don't see anything missing. Why do think there is?

The brake ducts on these cars only went as far as the fender liner to avoid getting damaged by the wheel and tire under normal use. They help some, but aren't meant to work like a racing setup would.

I think this isn't his actual car and he is asking about the splash guard/panel.

It was just a photo, the only one I could find of that view/part.

There are two holes for screws on the inside side of the brake duct fender liner, and I am missing the piece that it connects to. Is there another part to the fender liner that goes on the inside wheel well or is it from the splash guard?

I'll try to get a pic on my car that shows the missing piece.

What connects to these two holes in the splash guard/brake ducts? Is it the engine splash guard?

What is this part number? Will this fit in my car? It's an 87 that has the bumper conversion.

P/N is 51711965899. Don't know if it'll fit your car or not. Know anyone with a plastic bumper car that you could try theirs? I have one off my track car but I'm sure shipping would be too much.

I do have plastic bumpers and late model valence, I just don't know if I order a part that it will fit in my car. It is pretty impossible to find any parts where I am in Maine. New England on a whole is pretty sparse as far as BMWs.

There are 2 studs on each frame rail that are used to attach this part. You can see one of them above and to the left of the brake backing plate in the 1st pic you posted. The other position is the slot in the flange that faces upward in the 2nd pic. Have those studs?

I do have the two studs above the brakes, however I cant find the part up in Maine. There are literally no E30's in any parts yard. I am hoping that I don't have to drive my car in the snow and expose it to salt, if I do I will have to track down this part and replace one of my wheel well liner as well as find some mud flaps.

So I finally managed to track down this part (51711965899) and I am having some trouble figuring out how to mount it. I have the studs on the car, but I don't know what size nut to get and the ones i have on hand arent the right size. Does anyone know how this part is mounted and what nuts I need to hold it in place? I am derusting the threads and plan on getting some nuts from the hardware store to mount it.
