does mtech II lip exist?

I'm gonna be going to my dealer this weekend... I need 2 pick up some stuff. So I'll speak to them about the spoiler, and the lip.

Speaking of the lip, a mate of mine who has a 325iS Evo 2 Turbo... has been looking for one and also thought of getting a CF one made up... we've been thinking about it for a while now...

Ok, went 2 the dealer... and spoke to my mate. He says you can't get them seperate, at all... so that sucks.

But... as I said about my mate with the Evo 2 that wants a CF one... we seriously gonna look into that.

Also going to get what u guys call iS lips made in CF, Hoods, M-Tech 1 wings, and a trunks, and a Trunk with a CSL type lip built into it... looks really good.

So I will keep u guys updated..

ok, now im totally confused. i was under the impression that we were talking about an mtech 2 spoiler. i thought that that was the whole peice that fits over the valance. maybe i just missed the part about the little lip. sorry guys. im pretty sure that the peice that you have on your car is the one that i was looking at. what do you have on yours? if that were the peice that i was looking at getting would it be too much for the peice? $280?

I have a complete Mtech2 body kit. Well minus that SA Lip. True Mtech peices are hard to find and command top dollar. That is about fair for something new in Box!

I do not think you and I are talking about the same parts. This is another little lip thats black that sits under the front spoiler. The only place that anyone has been able to find one is BMW South Africa. Below is a pic of my car. It goes under the white spoiler. There are some pics of this lip in this thread.

IF this is something that you are thinking of buying vs picking this thing up for sure, please allow me to get this from your guy. I have a friend that owns a carbon fiber company and I would love to make a mold off this and make them in CF for everyone that has been looking for this for many moons!


Also if you could get some pics of this, that would be great. I have never seen one that is not on a car. Would love to see how it installs!

i think it looks like the front peice thats on your sig. what is that front peice? cuz i think thats what it looks like. i'll get some pics this weekend. im probably getting it but if not you can have dibs.

no, i dont have any mtech 2 stuff on it yet. i do have a perfect mtech 1 rear spoiler on it though that i got from this same guy for 110 bucks, and he through in some euro grills too. im planning on mtech 2 front spoiler and the mtech 2 rear peice also, the cover peice.

Did they say how much that part even was? It would be worth it to get one to reproduce it for the many that seek this product. I could even have someone do it up in Carbon Fiber for us. But I would have to send it out and have a mold made. But it would look kick ass for sure!

these are not sold anywhere but BMW SA. They were an Evo II item. So if you can find one then you would have something that most do not. So for the price I think its good. Its been something that I have been looking for since I got my E30.


But I have a question about your car. Your Car is an IX with a Mtech 2 kit on it?

no its already over here. ive seen it and had it stuck on my car, just to kinda see what it looks like. its absolutly brand new. still in the box and straight from the factory in germany. its ready for paint right now. it couldnt be newer.

Is this something that you are looking into or are you saying this is for sale. I would love to know!

I'll ask for u... but I dont think they will as it only came on the Evo 2.

IMO, I prefer the EVO 1 to the Evo 2 as it came with the Ally body panels.
