I took it into work today and texturized it. Came out pretty good but the color was a bit off. I then used dye to match the dash color pretty damn close.

Quite happy with the finished product.

Yes my interior is dirty, I know.

that turned out well. The guages are designed to mount flat vs. angled towards the driver right?

No advantages to speak of, really. It's something different, which draws me to it. Something subtle that most people won't notice, but those that are really paying attention will. :D

I wear a watch, and my reciever will have the time on it as well. And I'm not really interested in knowing what the temperature is all the time. Shit, every bank in town has one of those signs out in front that has the temperature, and there's about 10,000 banks here. :)

                That looks AMAZING!

Are you going to spray the faces of your guages Lachsilber as well? That would reeaally look nice!

I can't wait to see everything done, the new panel, the guages in, and your new head unit.

                Mmmmmmm!

Not my type of thing, but craftman ship is definitely good. I would like to see it with the gauges in there. Now I can't help but think that Ive seen something similar on an e30, but who's... :?:

I use the OBC for my fuel range. It's a reassurance that my fuel meter works correctly.

The guages mount flat to the pod, but each pod is angled towards the driver.

VDO Vision line guages. I've looked at other brands but they are all cheapo looking.. I may look into coloring the faces to match my existing instrumentation, or simply converting back to black.
