Searched and can't find the answer, found threads about vaders in coupes and people asking about verts, someone touched on it at the end of the Sticky HOW TO thread but it wasn't answered. The problem i see is how in the sedan the seat belt bolts to the actual seat. Any one customize a bracket?

maybe you can swap seatbelt recepticles from a 4 door?
actually don't all E30 recepticles mount the same way? It's just the shoulder belt that mounts differently - 2 doors have the bar running next to the rockers, 4 doors mount to the B-pillar. the seats themselves are the same except 4 door seats don't have the latch to move the seatback forward.Comment

in the 2dr e30 the belt mounts to a rail on the floor while in the 4dr e30 the belt mounts to the actual seat.

it should still work. I don't remember exactly but I do have 2 door seats in my 4 door.Comment

The reason why I think e30 coupe seats fit in a sedan, is because the coupe seats also have the bracket to bolt the bottom of the belt in. As stated above, the e30 coupe belt goes from the B pillar to the bar on the floor, while the sedan goes from the B pillar to the actual seat rail where there is a bracket to bolt it to.
I am going to have to check my Vaders but I doubt they have that. What I think I am just going to do is weld a 1.5"x1.5" steel plate to the rail with a hole in it and run a nut and bolt through that.

This is the side of the Vader. It has those two holes on the side, I need to check mine tomorow and see what they are. If not welding may be the only option.

The mounts are not what worries us, it is the seatbelt bolting up.
After looking at my vaders today it seems that one of those two holes in the Vade pic I posted above will work. You have to bolt it through the hole. I will take pics of mine today.
I would like to see how the seatbelt works on an e36 sedan. I am betting it is the same way as an e30 sedan.Comment

Okay, so I figured it out. Of course I am not responsible for any of this infomation.

When you put it in without modifing the nipple, it doesnt go fully in. I am not sure yet, if with the nipple shaved off if it will still fit. You may also have to lengthen the hole. When I install mine, I will edit this.

Thanks Motorsports. Not sure if i will go this way or get 2dr seat belts and anchors. Seeing that the 4dr has the holes for the anchors already, they are just plugged up.

I would think this would be the easiest and safest way, as many people in the DIY thread were worried about the bar being shortened and welded.Comment

To you they may be but I think that they are way better looking then stock. I have them in my e30 and everyone likes the way they stand out..Comment
