I agree...that;s why I have the mahogany wheel and burlwood shifter...

Wood = class. And the E30 had it, back in the day. Lawyers would drive our cars to impress their clients, with luxury and sport all in one.

English cars need wood trim; I'm not a fan of wood trim in the E30.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

sorry but that's just nasty looking IMO. I'd rather go with a brushed aluminum theme personally. mmmm....

You have to admit though, that birds-eye maple is beautiful. And like others said, wood=classy.

Figures, the only one that really appreciates it is a Brit car lover ;)

Wood rules. End of story. :)

I think that wood looks like shit...However, if it was a very dark almost black stain it would look amazing. I love subtle wood, but not that orange platicky looking crap.

looks like shit - i wouldn't rock it. Alpina made some cool stuff, but most of it is bling. Its expensive shit, and people bought it for status. Its like buying dinan parts today for your new bmw, and assuming they are the best performance parts on the market because you got raped up teh butt at the dealer for prices. The item in question screams pimp my ride, or 70's el dorado caddy

My friend's Audi has a very dark, matte finish wood trim on black leather and it looks tits.

it looks great on the right car - the e30 just isn't the car for wood trim. even when these things were brand new they were never the type of luxury car that you'd associate wood grain trim with

A lot of Audi's come stock with wood dash trim, most of it looks pretty good.

My friend Evan's 86 190E had wood trim stock as well, he just replaced it all with carbon fiber panels that he cut out himself. Looks badass.

The dash layout and the way the trim panels are arranged makes for one ugly looking dash kit for E30's as well.
