I absolutely LOVE my 370mm (smaller) M-Tech 2 wheel. I am looking to pick one up for my E36 as well!

I got this 350mm Momo for less than half the price of a small diamater M-Tech II and really like it. It does block the gauges tho.

I found that the opposite is true. With the momo and most aftermarket wheels, it's small and blocks the gauges, certainly screams aftermarket (high likelihood of getting stolen) and you need to get a hub adapter which adds to the cost of the wheel. When it's all said and done, for the same money you can pick up a used or new M Tech 2 wheel that's OEM original quality and matches the interior. If it were a track car, I would certainly go with aftermarket but for street/track/car shows the M tech 2 is hard to beat.

Thanks for all the opinions, guys. Enough M-tech2 lovers popped up to convince me to buy one. Bought one from this guy new for $285: http://www.s14.net/forums/showthread.php?t=48577
Seems almost too good, but there were plenty of replies on that thread that had received the wheel, so I went for it. Should show up sometime next week. Can't wait!

I agree on the aftermarket look, however I personally liked the look of this one, and together with the hub, was still cheaper than a used mtech2 here.

altho yes, if i could get a new 370mm mtech2 for the same price, it would be a no-brainer. :D

Da Parts Pimp (what the mye28 guys call him) is legit, don't worry.

Glad to hear it. I wasn't all that worried, anyhow. There were plenty of good responses to his ad.

Just picked up an MtechII. I loved the look but didn't know how they felt until the other day. Turns out my buddy has one in his E36 M3.

Thanks! I am wondering if there are any cool air bag wheels as I can't stand the stock air bag wheels.

e30s only had one style of airbag wheel.

Would need to ditch the airbag if you want something better.

Yeah, seems that I did. Got the wheel and then tore the car down to paint it.

It was great while I was driving with it, though. I love the feel, and the smaller diameter was really nice.
Brian from BMW of Chattanooga was helpful and quick to ship, I definitely recommend him.
