I would love to have a ZHP but cant bring myself to buy one with an ///M emblem. My
Car is in no way related to BMWs M division.

The stock one is pretty boss. Like 25 bucks shipped from
Bimmerbumco. Weighted , i love the feel.

bmw wooden knob..original rubber/leather knob by PO had horrible cigarette smell that I could not get rid of..
wooden one is easier to clean and I love how it has partial leather grip.

zhp, i have had one in every e30 i've owned. i have also always had a zf trans and the zhp's weight is the perfect amount to balance the notchiness when combined with a shorter shifter.

I've always heard the opposite, that the zf trans is less notchy than the getrag.

it'll do for now and much better than the po's walmart knob. the fact the gearbox labels are off will eventually get to me tho... hah

I would always be scared that someone else would drive my car and grind the gears with that one.

I have a Momo of some sort, leather wrapped. It would be fine except that the stitching tends to chew up the inside of my ring finger. The shape is fine, the stitching is not unless I wear gloves.

ZHP for sure, feels incredible. Car came with one of the M-striped door knob shifters, and I hated it. I would love to have been able to afford one of the illuminated ZHP knobs, but just can't justify it right now.

Also my shifter is really notchy and sometimes the ZHP would make it hard to go into gear since it was shorter. I put the stock anatomic leather knob back on, and i love the way it looks and feels. I REALLY want an illuminated one piece knob like what was posted earlier, I just can't bring myself to piss away money like that.
I find this odd. I have had the ZHP and the Febi. I found myself ending up with a wood door knob shifter and I'm finally satisfied with it. The weighted knobs relieved the notchy-ness and I found I prefer it.
