I like my Whalen knob.

In your own opinion, what's the greatest shift knob?

I'm undecided on what I will use when the car is finished. I bought this one about 3 years ago on Ebay and got lucky. It's brand new and NLA, but not weighted.

And then I have a UUC RK3 illuminated/polished but it might be a little too bling in polished. It's NLA so no pics on UUC's site. I had a ZHP on my E39 and really liked it. I think I may order one just for the heck of it to see how it looks.Originally posted by Simon SWhen a dream is a dream for too long - it becomes a fantasy.. Comment

+1you guys who burned your hands on metal knobs are retarded. 1st of all you should know better, 2nd of all, if you don't know better, just put a hat or some shit over it. 3rdly, how hot could it really get? (Admittedly, I'm a cook so I have a pretty high tolerance for heat)

My UUC RK3 in brushed aluminum is my favorite. Discontinued, for better or worse (rarity?)

DD'd my car in sunny socal for about 3 years, with a black on black car, and never once burned my hand on my uuc knob. Comment

When I got my car it was missing the shift knob so i fondled a memeber here in the forum till he let me handle his knob..
And this is what I got.. till today...

Then I went to the pomona swap meet today and totaly scored
the knob w/ BMW rondle below for $3 dollars..Man I love this knob, it seems taller and easier to select the gears..
gawd I feel like i've been in the dark till now..
