I´m going to get mine in Alcantera :)

Not sure on the color though,
Not black and not white or tan,

If alcantera is cheaper then leather then It´s going to cost about $1500 for all the seats,
I am having the back seat split into two seats, like the M3,

I have already removed the old leather from the back seats and this thing is not a big deal but must be done properly, so I am having a shop do the whole deal,

REAL ALCANTARA CLOTH is very nice. Here is a guy that sells it wholesale for $149.00 a yard. I would get 8 yards to be safe. Just make sure you get the Real stuff, there are some copies out there. Just my 2 cents, Black looks the best. I have a guy that wants to do his E30 seats in Alcantara and Evo3 cloth ($120 a yard) Your car will look sharp.............

        Tricked,

The alcantara cloth - that is a synthetic suede, right? I have seats in my Lexus that are called "escaine" which is a synthetic suede, and I love them. If this alcantara is similar, can you do seat kits in it?

        Thanks,

          Dave,
I can but the only problem is that OEM Alcantara and the material you are talking about is UV treated all of the aftermarket material is not. This would not be good in a convertible.

God damn it did i get ripped off again!

I spent $516 for two sport seats at a junkyard that had be redone not sure when though and now its sounding like i could have gone a cheaper route.

If i could have gone a cheaper route then this really sucks first it was the engine wich i can understand since i didnt know that i could have gotten a better deal and now the seats jesus this really is getting annoying.

Oh yeah and my drivers seat frame snapped a week later and so now im looking at about another 100 or so out of my pocket to get all the material put onto my old frame wich hell might not even be that great to use!

I had a source but it is no longer availble, a friend of mine just picked up 8 yards of the remaining material I know of in the states. I have check all of MY sources and it is NLA

Why would you think you got ripped off, you bought 2 reupholsterd sport seats for $516.00. I sell reupholsterd sports in vinyl for $750 with no problems, you got a good deal as far as sports go

How much do you think it would cost to get the material swapped over?

I'm getting 2 SRD seats and an M3 rear seat redone as we speak in dark gray alcantara with black M cloth centers for $500 not including the M cloth. Should be done within a few weeks.

I finally got some sport seats...they wern't in need of being recovered they just needed to get a seem fixed and re-dye the leather. I will post pictures of them probalby next week when i get them in the car.

The total costs sum up like this:

                          $100 (2 sport seats)
$250 (recover headrests, fix seems and beading)
$150 (re-dye leather and condition it)

total = $500 for prefect condition black leather sport seats.

I also ordered 2 new seatbelt reciprocals from the stealer at $37 a piece.

I think i ended up getting a great deal
