Probably a good safeguard against my already "spirited" driving habits lol
Already been getting points: Don't need to PoPo-5-0 on my tail again

Regardless.. I think my car already has non-airbag stalks. I swapped in an OBC stalk from a non-airbag car, and the distance from my airbag wheel was EXACTLY the same.. Weird
We'll really only know the truth until I buy my wheel though, so until then.. cheers lol

The later airbag equipped e30 have different stalks from the earlier model. So if you swap your airbag wheel out for an mtech wheel, your stalks will be rather close to your wheel. To correct this, youd have to swap the stalks out for the earlier ones, or try to bend them.
My car came stock with the MT1 wheel and it is an early model (10/85 325es) and there's about 1" from the turn signal AND wiper levers. It's very easy to trip either while driving, specially if you have sausage fingers.

That seems awfully close for an early model. I did the stalk swap when I threw on my mtech 1 wheel and there was 1.5-2 inches of clearance. Any chance the previous owner swapped them out for later model ones? Maybe he did a 13 button obd swap and realized that one side was closer than the other so he swapped the other one out also?

Seeing my car had 42k miles confirmed at a dealer in 1999 and bought it with 72k miles in 2006, third owner (2nd was a seller), I HIGHLY doubt there was any swaps of anything going on.

I removed the OEM shocks, even, and put them in a bag for proof.

The car even came with the "Ultimate Driving Machine" cassette tape and head cleaner etc.

The spare tire was the original Perelli P6 with all the rubber tits still on it, and minty bottlecap.
