    Mtech stitching

I'm trying to learn how to do this and think I've got it. What do you guys think?

Google image search says it is:

    My attempt:

I think I need to make the teal/red stitches longer so the dark blue crosses more even.

I've seen it on steering wheels. It was requested by a customer so I gave it a shot.

I would say larger stitch length on the teal/red and then get them closer to the edge of the material.

That's what I'm thinking, I'll see what I can do.

The holes on each piece of suede are not level with each other, they are staggered, if they were even then I think the stitching would be much more uniformed and the 'V' s would be more equal, not sure I'm describing what I mean very well though

Way better than the first attempt though and way better than I could do

The teal and red stitching? I'm going to do it some more tomorrow so hopefully I can refine it a bit

I would tighten your thread tension as tight as possible when sewing the teal and red. This will help prevent the stitches from pulling over when you lace the blue through.

Using nylon thread with very little stretch will help as well if your aren't already using some.

I thought the dark blue stitch was supposed to pull the teal/red towards the center? It's slightly pulled like that in the pic I posted, seems like most other samples I can find have the pulling as well.

It's less pulled here so I'm thinking maybe just using a thicker thread will help?

Yeah I think you should try a thicker thread
