Just curious as to what you guys think. They're both the same price on bavauto and I have a gift certificate I've been waiting to use

I have the ZHP knob and love it. Pretty sure the ZHP knob has more weight to it than the illuminated version too.

I'm a fan of the ZHP. I like the added weight, particularly with the z4 lever's notchiness.

Get an illuminated ZHP knob. This is America. You don't have to choose. You can just have both.

Is this real life? I will look in to that. I had hoped, but I didn't think it was real

Yeah it's only like $175 for the illuminated ZHP knob, or the $100 version which IIRC is kinda crap.

I have both but I really like the illuminated knob. It goes nicely with the interior. Day or night. The Zhp is weighted and short but isn't illuminated. The illuminated Zhp is the best of both worlds but a lot more expensive. The Zhp also feels smaller in my hand while the traditional illuminated knob feels perfect. Hard to choose one over the other, just depends what you like. What I call the traditional illuminated knob is the oval knob like in the mz3 coupe.

The illuminated and ZHP are both $87.95 on BavAuto and I was able to find the illuminated ZHP for 135 on leatherz.com

What's the big deal about illuminated knobs? If you don't know where the gears are by now...

It's all aesthetics. It looks nice at night. Just depends on how much you want to pay for that feature. BTW, standard zhp knobs are like $50-55 shipped from certain places.

i dont know the illuminated knobs have more bling but the ZHP is just a really nice knob its has a nice weight in your hand, is about the perfect size and and has a nice feel to it

I'd go with the illuminated knob. Looks really cool at night.
I don't get why people like "weighted" knobs. I like it to be as light as possible. Gives better feel IMO.
