Passengers always give me an odd look when I have a drink resting on my crotch.

And if you accelerate too fast, and the lid is open, you get that "I just pee'ed a little bit" look when you get out of the car.

Mcdonalds drink holder underneath passenger seat.

Holds 2 drinks easy behind the seat, disappears when I don't need it, and doesn't cost money.

ive been contemplating making a similar one, but just cutting holes for the tubes and placing them in without and weird fabrication work.
I was considering patching it together with leopard print duct tape.

Anyway, you're going to need a Dremel and a steady hand. Also, the tunnel prevents you from sinking both cupholders all the way into the console, so there's a little design hill to climb. Id be interested in seeing someone else's execution of the same idea.

I'd do a few things differently the second time around for a cleaner look, but I've got more projects than I can handle at the moment and achieving aesthetic perfection in my cupholders just isn't high on the priority list. They work for now.

I did a BMW part custom installed for "Browntown" a few years ago

If I can find pics of mine, I will post them up.

it was not all that pretty, but worked well, was just a 2.5" port tube cut to fit the area to the right of the parking brake...worked nicely, for sure.

                Closing SOON!

Which part is that? I'll eventually get around to doing a nicer version of mine and that looks like the right place to start.

EDIT: Found it. E34 p/n 82111468721. Order it from Blunt HERE.

the trick is to find beverages that are the right diameter to fit wedged between the passenger sport seat, seat belt, and console.

do this and you'll have drinks way more secure than cutting the shit out of your console for a flimsy crappy plastic ebay cup holder.

yes, there is already a thread here about this cup holder from about 2 months ago. here is the link: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...+holder&page=6

nice install luke. that looks great. if i didn't have heated seats, i would put a cup holder there in addition to the one i put in my rear ashtray.

Yea until you hit the brakes a little hard and squish the drink open all over your legs, and then have to go into work looking like you pissed yourself.

                              Truth.

Though I don't have a problem with the cup holder mod either, you can get a replacement for that console piece for like $5.
