need help with my M Tech 1 steering wheel installment!!

Okau so my friend said once I took out the air bag steering off, all I would need is another spacer. Car came with one so I added another spacer to it. When I add the steering wheel and washer and bolt, it doesn't reach the lock and the horn button. I tried 1 spacer and then the steering wheel but then I can't turn the steering wheel all the way. Do I need a 2nd spacer but smaller from the OEM spacer?? If so will home depot may have it? I have a 1990 325i. Thanks!!

Yes. I used washers stacked on each other.

Wait you took out both spacer and added washers or 1 spacer and 1 or 2 or 3 washers?

you're supposed to put the spacer on after installing the wheel, then the nut over that.....not the spacer first.

Okay so I basically did what your said and now I can't turn the wheel all the way... I put the steering wheel without any spacer so put the wheel and then I put 1 spacer and washer and bolt. It locks and horn works but won't turn all the way, as if it's hitting something

                    wheel

As I recall the white pin pulls out or comes out very easily but it must be removed. The white pin is seen when the steering wheel is removed in the upper left on the face of the column. Order of arrangement on my car is.... 1-spacer 2-wheel 3-spacer 4-washer 5-nut.

                    Horn works and wheel turns.

You will find the directional stalks to be a bit closer to the wheel but it's not a big deal.
