Brian you should try to pick up a set of cardinal door cards and rear.... Convertible cards if possible. I think that would look sweet, and leave the black door pulls and map pockets.

^ Mike, I'm on it. I want to get everything as a set (door cars, seat backs, tonneau cover) or just dye it all. Eventually I want to dye the carpet as well.

These came out gorgeous. I'll have to keep this in mind. My main qualm with sport seats- sticky in the summer.

Does look nice. Reminds me of a S10 Blazer I had.

I would love a set for the rears and have no problems swapping the covers. His website states he isn't taking new orders. Does anyone know if its true?

I know he is crazy backed up with work right now. He is finishing off my set in about a week but it took quite a while due to his workload. I didnt know he stopped taking orders, but after talking to him recently I can see why.

^ It was something we talked about when I had mine done. He was saying he had a bunch of stuff going on and there's always something in life that comes up. I hope he kicks it back up because I want to talk about matching door cards

I dont think he is doing door cards, I asked him about that.

I got mine from Ebay and I love the quality, its a guy out of Germany. If you look at my build thread you can see the link.

He did a set of "experimental" door skins for my sedan.

Yea maybe he will do them again in the future but I think he is so backed up he said he is not doing them now.

I just wanna get the matching fabric and brainstorm some ideas about how to attach it to the door cards I have.. cut a hole in the door panel the size of the insert and attach the fabric to some kind of board and then glue it into the hole made? Or try to sew the fabric straight to the door card? That kind of thing

I think the way to do it is to get the back of off the card, then cut out the horizontal 'lined' part, then put the material on the back of the card... You probably won't even have to sew, just use a really good fabric glue around the edge.... There's one really good one in a silver tube, RG300 or something like that, in Michaels.

I spoke to John (Ninestitch) about door panel inserts earlier this year, when I ordered my seat kit. His recommendation was to make inserts the shape of the center section of the panel, covered in whatever material you want, and then just attached them over the existing door panel using 2-way rivets. I'm not sure what a "2-way rivet" is.

^ both good points. I need to find a car with cloth door panels to see how it was done OEM and then figure out what would be cleanest from there. The convertible rears are easy since they have their own removable inserts to access the rear speakers. Perhaps I should model the fronts after the rears?
