    Looking to create ventilated seats

    Hey all,
Have any of you tried or suceeded to create ventilated seats in your e30's? I am thinking of doing so for my 'vert as it would make mid-late summer driving a lot nicer not to stick to the seats. I know that the newer cars with this feature just use a series of small muffin fans and perforated leather, which I don't think would be to difficult to recreate in an e30 sport seat, but if anyone has attempted this I'd sure appreciate some input. What fans did you use, did you get them from a scrap car, etc.

    Thanks!

They sell them premade, but I have been in multiple cars with seat ventilation and while they are better than nothing, I have never been that impressed.

Maybe if you DIY it an use more or better fans. If you want it really cold, you could get the ducts that go under the seats to the rear footwells and modfy those to run up to the seats instead of to the back passengers feet. Then the fans could actually send some cold air up. If you're the kind of guy that would run top down with ac on. . .

I have heated and cooled seats on the Lexus and considering they are leather, it's a much needed feature.

My E30 has cloth sport seats so I dont' find this necessary.
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

I like the idea of using the rear ducts but you would have to have early horse hair seats for the air to get through them. Kind of defeats the purpose
