M Tech Steering Wheel Install: Do I remove this?

People say you can gently bend the stalks for added clearance.You need a washer found on the steering column of non-airbag cars, or you can add the extra washers yourself like Nando metioned above.

Also, the stalks will be too close to the wheel, apparently the stalks for airbag cars are different from non-airbag ones. And you need to be sure that you line them up right when putting the wheel back on, or your turn signal will not turn off when you finish turning. If you wanted to be perfect about it, you would need non-airbag stalks so they were stock length from the wheel, and you could lock the wheel with the key out of the ignition.

I found out non airbag stalks will be *too* far away
Using a 13 button OBC stalk from a non-airbag car. works perfectly fine, I just need to bend it a little bit.Comment
