          It would be that hard, but it would be a bit time consuming. The best way would be to make a mold and vacuum mold them out of ABS or something similar. Then you wouldn't have to wrap it in vinyl. Either that or vacuum form them out of vinyl and fill the backside with foam (like how dashes are made). If I had the tools (and time) I could make them pretty easy.

                      The issue is simple: 3" port tubes (which are rapidly becoming NLA) are too big, and 2" is too small.

                      If you live in PDX, go see Ron at Ja-Mac speakers, about 59th on NE Sandy Blvd. He is where I get 3" port tubes...my secret stash.

                        some one should retrofit in the e60 5-series cupholder. I may do that one day. I think they are ~$60-70 each at Tischerbmw.

                        Pretty cool design. They are hidden in the dash. You push in and they pop out.

                            Cool idea, but I'm not convinced there is a good location or room to put them where they retract behind the dash. Also, these are a little on teh flimsy side.
