The first picture in this post is of my car.

The guy that made the cup holder is Joseph. I emailed him a year or so ago asking if he would consider making more because I get so many compliments about it and I felt others would enjoy it too.

He was kind enough to reply but told me he has no interest in making them again. His girlfriend or wife (I can't remember which it was) sold her e30 so he's completely out of BMW's. He said that it took so much time to make one, he wasn't really making any money on them.

I make a custom transmission mount for s50/s52 swap guys and I know just how he feels. It's fun at first even though you're making about $5.00 an hour, then some asshole sends you a bad check, says he never received your product or returns one that he beat the crap out of and insists you shipped it that way - then it becomes like any other job only with much less pay!

The cupholder was available with or without the power outlet. I wish now that I didn't have it because positioned in the center makes the outlet useless with something plugged into it unless you can drive without using 3rd or 5th gears and I enjoy my s50 too much for that!

Because the dash is oriented towards the driver, larger drinks only fit in the left hole so I use the right one for loose change, pens etc.

Joseph did a fantastic job making these. The vinyl he used matches BMW. The thing looks as good today as it did when I bought it a few years ago. It hasn't faded, split, come apart or anything like that.

I would be happy to let someone use it as a sample to make more. It is a great product that gets used just about every time I drive the car.

My car is kept at work during the winter but I can take better pictures tomorrow when I get there if you want. Let me know.

You can just see the cupholder in this one:

Way to make people feel like idiots

I've done a similar thing and replaced cassette holder with cup holders, but I still like that e46 arm rest with cup holders, I am searching for one of those.

sorry guys, tried 3-4 companies, looking at close to 1k in cost and minimum run of 500 or more.

I sent MCHammer an email with pics to see if he could have better luck.

10 foot ladder, held camera out at full arms length and prayed that I didn't fall off.

I garage the car at home and work so it stays pretty clean even though the top only goes up a few times a year when the weatherman is wrong and I get caught.

I sure do enjoy driving a 'vert. I can't remember the last time I rode my motorcyle.
