Yep. That's what it is. It's busted, so I might as well replace it with a "factory" AC.

How big of a cup is this going to hold? Holding a 52 ounce cup while driving a stick and no power steering is not something I want to do on a regular basis.

Does anyone know if the lighter assembly can be easily removed and reinstalled?

The decisions I am confronted with now are:

      - Keep the cigarette lighter or not
      - If it is kept do I reuse the OEM lighter or replace with a new one and have the user crimp it to the old wires.

I dont think it is necessary since you can just get the oem adapter for the glovebox flashlight if you really need a socket.

Reuse old lighter socket to save on costs.

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

For <$100, I'd be in. And fwiw, I wouldn't really care about the lighter. I'd actually prefer it without.

but don't you need to plug your vibrator in? or do you have a modern battery operated one?

You have to two ply them so they don't rip apart when they get wet, but if they do,... they are FREE /w purchase of a drink!

Aren't cup holders and an automatic transmission redundant?

If the other poster in this thread has somewhat given up on this project I am interested in seeing what I can come up with. I would make a mold and then vacuum form the plastic and back will with foam. I have been thinking about it for a couple weeks now and I believe it is very doable. I am a school teacher and the year gets out next week so I will see what I can come up with after that.

you know what would really put this cupholder in baller status...is if the cupholder has a cool feature to keep drinks cold.

Yaaaa so we can pay five times as much for refrigerant/tank/pump/lines. Unless you were thinking aircooled?
