New Red Tails

It looks good now, but I could never paint my whole tail light. That paint isn't meant to last in the elements and instead of just having your turn signal look dull, now the whole tail light will eventually.

You would be surprised how tough that shit is. Granted, ti won't hold up as well as just plasitic, but it's not like it is going to wear off in 5 years. And like Josh said, it's easy to just re-sand and re-spray when they do dull.

I've been using it on my tails for years. I was one of the first people to try it after Lukas did it, if not the second. I didn't say the paint is going to wear off, but it oxidizes easy and just starts looking crappy after about 6 months.

How do you re-do it? I paitned my turn signals red about ayear ago, and now they're all dull. Short of stripping the paint and clearcoat off and re-doing it all over again, what can I do to make them less dull?

Thats about all you can do. When I refinish mine, all I do is use 400 grit to sand all the old paint off, then respray.

why not use the testors paint for the red part and automotive grade clear for the rest so it doesn't fade?
