They look like smoked clear. More like a greyish color.

if you want dark then get the daker lamin-x on stock lenses. they look almost black in person.

And don't do it the ghetto way by just spaypainting them. it will look like shit and might start to flake off in the future. I am using the stock sidemarker housings. I just removed the stock lense, and replaced it with smoked plexiglass with a textured plastic material behind. So, my sidemarker still accually work, unlike a lot of people that made their own smoked sidemarkers. I am very happy with the results.
