Sequential LED Tail lights Plug and Play

So me like others think the E30 does not have enough lighting in the rear. So here is what I made. Plug and Play Sequential LED Tail lights. What I made plugs in to the factory harness with no modification. The factory flasher still works with out hyper flashing. Any ways let me know what you think. I will add some more pics and video of the full install. I might try and build a few sets and sell them if any one is interested.

I like it and have thought of doing the same with those taillights or even with stock tails with the turn light painted red. Would be nice if the 3 lights together stayed lit a bit longer. As in the lights flash at half the speed they do here. Not sure how you'd wire it but it would make it easier for drivers behind to see what's going on.

Yea I have an extra set of stock lights I'm thinking of modding also. I do agree the lights need to flash slower. The only thing is the module I used has no adjustment to it. The whole reason I did this was to have more light out the back. Any ways thanks for the kind words. The R3v's on facebook where being a$$-holes about it.

No I do not have any pics of the units. I was something I was thinking about trying to build and sell.

I was thinking of ways to improve on this.. I'm guessing you designed something that works on the impulse signal from the turn light relay and sends a time based signal to each of the three bulbs. So... on some cars, the side turn signal flashes on while the front is off, and vice versa. They are offset. I'm not sure how to wire a set like that, but if you could adapt it to our cars, you could have the first and second light triggered by the turn light relay switching on (and then stay on), and then the third light and hold for all three lights for the rest of the time duration triggered by the off beat.

Does that make sense? So in essence the light would flash at half speed and the latter half would be triggered an alternate impulse created when the bulb flashes off

I get what you are getting at. I was also thinking about making a set that does not have the sequential. But Instead had turn lights where the reverse lights are.

What would be awesome is a set of those "euro" rear lights where the top two clear slots have those switchback yellow/white LEDs in them, where they both light up yellow for turning, but then also both light up white for reversing.

Would those work for city lights?

                        Been thinking about a price?

Are you making the lenses too, or are they pre-made aftermarket stuff that you replaced the lamps in ?

Do the tail lights sequence, turns, what? I'm not sure from the description what is sequencing, and what happens to other lights when the turns go on...

So I watched the videos, and yes, the turn signals are secuencing across the bottom of the light, all red.

Now what happens with tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals all on at the same time?

Nice work. Anything that helps other drivers see an E30 is good, and helps them avoid wrecking it even better!
