I did not have to adjust at all for the US ellipsoids. The cut off is perfect and nothing was needed. Plug Play turn on and enjoy... :p (unless your headlights are way out of adjustment for some reason).
    thanx again atomic.

has anyone tried the acrylic lenses from BMWlight.com?
not sure if acrylic would withstand HID's heat as much as the OEM glass ones.

reason why i ask is cuz my driver side lens is cracked [low beam]

These apexcone kits are awesome!! quick plug and play.
and wow they made my foglights look like yellowy shit.
      haha.

does anyone have any pictures of their H3 HID kits made to fit their foglights?

I will get a shot of mine this weekend and post them up. FYI, they're no plug-and-play. You will have to cut, splice and solder some wires. Also, the bulb doesn't fit in the housing with the cover plate, so the plate has to be cut a bit and then sealed up with black silicone sealant. It's a PITA, but looks cool. You may be better off with getting some 3K H3 bulbs off of eBay and calling it good (unless you really need bright as fuck foglights)

i've read around and it looks like it will be quite hard to try to match the exact white of HIDs with xenon fog bulbs. so i tackled it the JDM way and got some $27 luminics 2500k H3 bulbs. they're really bright and very yellow. haha. i'm liking it more and more when i see it on my alpine.

ill probably go the HID fog route when i get tired of the yellow.

Yes. I jumped the #30 pin on the high beam relay to the #30 pin on the low beam relay. Works great!

So where did you guys mount your ballast for the headlight?

Inside of the fender, on the vertical surface behind the plastic shield. Drill 3 small holes for each ballast, secure with screws. Done.

                      A couple of questions...

What bulbs do I need for the low beams? Has anyone tried doing the high beams at the same time. We installed a set in a 325i last night. It was low beams only and it made the high beams look impotent. I guess the point is that you really do not need the high beams anymore?

No spacing needed for me. Plug and play

I personally would not go over 6000k (which is what I went with). 8000k and up get into those blue/purple colors that look rice...

I think so, the difference is in the ballast IIRC

I ordered the 35w for the low beams with the 6K, what do you guys think about the 55w with 6K for the high beams? Overkill?

Ya, unless you're driving nightime rally stages on a regular basis.
