    but in all seriousness, i just installed a DDM 35w 3k HID kit in the fogs of my E39, and they are great. slightly off topic, but they were the slim-ballasted $50 ones so it is on topic too.

        Ok, so I dont mind that the low beams dont stay on when the brights are on but now the damn brights dont work. WTF, this hole HID thing is not as easy as i thought.

            Ok, got everything working. Somehow I blew both high beam bulbs. Im not really sure what to think after a test drive. I guess time will tell.

                                        I was reading through the thread, and can everyone please not put 55w as low beams?

                                        35w is plenty for them, the 55w feels like I'm being blinded by the oncoming car.

                                                    I have 55 watts in my car, and it doesn't feel like I'm being blinded at all. I can see very well. :D
