But yeah, 55w are bright. Every one of my friends that's ridden in my car at night tells me how insanely bright my lights are.

OK. Just got these ddm HID's today. I pop'ed on into one headlight and did the thing where you stand in front of the car with two hats, holding them infront of the headlights, back and forth.

OMG are the 55 watt HID's bright - and Oh boy 4500k is still blue. Crap. I really wanted to avoid dealing with those ass hats.

Do these things mellow out a bit?

Either I've gotten so use to my crappy us elips and they were worse than I thought, or 55 watts are "I'M GOING TO KILL SOMEONE" bright.

Anyone else notice this at first?

Thinking that when I get some spare coin, I'll order a set again (since I canceled it before). Looks like an upgrade over my 35w 6000k kit.

4.3K 55W slimlines from DDM

Apparently they are in stock. I just got a fedex tracking number less than 12 hours after ordering. At $40 a pop, they entire kit is as much(no - make that LESS than) I spent on stupid "silver star" bulbs.

I canceled mine about 2.5 weeks after placing the order, and the dude on the phone said they had finally got their stuff in and it would ship that day... Thanks, but no thanks... That was about a month ago

I finally had a chance to get these installed. They're the DDM 55w 5k slims. I would guess that they have their orders up to date. Mine arrived two days after I ordered them.
