I wondering if someone know how to cancel the drl on my car ?
i have a 325is 1990 and drl is factory install since m’y car is canadian.

i have search on the web and find nothing helpful.
i find this thread but can’t see the picture so it’s useless..

You mean your lights are always on? I doubt that would have been a thing from new, but I can see it being as simple as a different switch or pin config.

In the non stock world some people use a jumper to achieve DRLs or high/lows on together. Maybe look in to that or you know, a wiring schematic.

I have 91' Canadian. Same thing on mine. Lights are always on.

Gonna have to do a continuity test and revert it to USDM spec. You should be able to follow the ETM for a re-wire, but the block diagrams would obviously be wrong for your current system....

It's actually the light switch itself. I'm not familiar with the wiring but get a US spec switch and go from there

It's not the switch. With switch completely unplugged lights are still on all the time with ignition. This thread goes pretty deep into it and still no solution.

I wonder if anyone has a Canadian specific wiring diagram for the lightning circuit.

DTRs are supposed to be reduced output so there has to be a resistor, relay or rheostat somewhere in the circuit that gets bypassed when you turn on the headlights. Is it possible that someone tried to bypass the dtrs and wound up bypassing the switch instead ?

I figured out how to bypass it. It's a combination of wiring and headlight switch. I posted more info in that DRL thread.
