It's actually the light switch itself. I'm not familiar with the wiring but get a US spec switch and go from thereSeat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com

DTRs are supposed to be reduced output so there has to be a resistor, relay or rheostat somewhere in the circuit that gets bypassed when you turn on the headlights.
