Hadn't planned on it. I should have the amp ready to go before I get the box, but that depends on free time, etc. I will let you know if I need some help with it though! (may be the case given what I can get done on the weekend before you build this thing)

I had not heard that they had released an 8". It does look like an OK fit, but may end up a bit "boomy", as the Qts is higher than I would prefer to see, especially with that high an Fs.

yeah, the spec will work...and a little extra "boom" from an 8" is not always a bad thing...

Luke, for the cosmetic amp rack, what size amp will fit in/on it? I have a JL slash 500/5 that I took out of my e46 before I sold it and I am trying to figure out if it will fit or not.

I suppose I could figure this out with a tape measure but that's across the shop and I'm lazy, but yeah: clearance for rear strut braces? Yes, no, maybe?

Hey Luke: I am not sure where else to post this so I wanted to Thank You for the alarm install and the 10" box, and speakers, and amp, and and and....

The sound system sounds great and likely better than the one from my e46. I think the box and speakers are well balanced. I pariculalry

Thanks again, and let me know when you want to know Mr. Royal Pain (8 Ball or 9 Ball, no matter). You got my number.

I am gonna try like hell to get them done by Sunday, but honestly it would be a miracle.

It is only 12" W X15" T, so, uuuuuum, NO.

But, we could easily make a special rack for you that was flush with the back of the box, but then it would not be removable.

Did you tell me before you had a 500/5? That is a big amp!

I am gonna say maybe. It is going to be tiny...pics soon, hopefully.

Thanks,. buddy. Your install was a blast, honestly. The car is in such nice shape, no evidence of any water leaks (except that antenna!) and all the wiring in excellent condition...very nice.

Lets see if you can find time to come with me to Bubbas in Kent. They have a great little tourney there on saturday nights. I generally finish in the money and have won it many times, but have also been out in 2.

Basically, any time YOU have time, let me know. I always lack opponents!

No, never mentioned it. I want something smaller and lighter, that amp is painfully large and heavy. Any suggestions on a good 5 channel? Or I guess I could do a 4 ch, I don't have a rear stage...

I just did an Onyx 4.60 in a boat, it was pretty impressive...stunning considering it was $100.
