I'll be looking forward to your progress, I interested in getting components also but for my cab. Are you gonna rewire at the same time? Any chance you can take pics too? Thanks. -
so far not much really..
i've just made a baffle for now, i can't really do any of the wiring work because i have to remove the carpet and the thing is, is that im swapping the tan interior for black..soo this week i should be pickin up a dark charcoal grey carpet that way i can finally start on the wiring for the amps and the sub. I dont really wanna take out the carpet twice and do unnecessary work..
Update on what i have purchased:
Polk Audio DB 5250 Component Speakers
2 Eclipse PA4212 Amps
Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1d Subwoofer
I've already installed the components and they fuckin rock...im dyin to hear the speakers amp'ed and obviously the woofer.
Ill keep you updated...im pretty sure i should get some progress done this week.Leave a comment:

yeh..thats what i've been told, focals rock. thanks for your input!Originally posted by DigitalwaveFocal Utopias are arguably the best components available, but they are out of your price range at like $800/pair. I am sure anything by Focal is great. I don't have any personal experience with Boston.Leave a comment:

lol well as you can see i don't know much about audio...i have two friends that know their shit, but i can't get a completely straight answer outta them in regard to component speakers..
what about focals or boston acoustics? whats your take on those?Leave a comment:

you think they can pump out nice bass? i remember seeing your musical tastes and well you don't listen to house or techno as much as i do. so you think they would be a good balance between rock/house/hip hop?Originally posted by DigitalwaveI have been very very happy with my Infinity Kappa 5 1/4" components, for the money they are great.Leave a comment:

Alright dudes...tomorrow im going component shopping
heres what i have waiting patiently in my room:
Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1D Subwoofer
Link for reference:
2 x Eclipse PA4212 2/1 Channel Amp
Now, what would be the best component to pair up with these?
I don't really want to spend more than $150-$170 on a set, here in chinatown it'll be possible to bargain with these dudes. So throw me brands with models prefarably!!
Also another thing that I have completely overlooked...should i be upgrading my car battery? My friend is telling me im gonna need the "yellow top" and i have no fuckin clue what that is..lolLeave a comment:

lol everyones got an opinion dude...some people have different needs or different preferences for the sound passing through their ears..Originally posted by Digitalwavemaraka, I have to ask why you recommend to stay away from Hifonics?
I am running a Hifonics Zeus right now, and my last amp was a Hifonics. Both of them have been some of the best amps I have worked with. They are super clean and underrated power wise from the factory. Great amps for the prices.
i just want some good components that aren't outrageoulsy expensive to match up with my sub and the amps..Leave a comment:
