Shit, good work Luke. I was just thinking of putting an 8" tube or something (center armrest?) in the backseat or on the floor. =P

yeah you use that one by the AC lines, when you get the battery cable off a coupe leave that grommet on there. the rear wall i think i did have to punch a hole, and you're kind of on your own for battery mount. I used the metal plate that covered the weight.. put it down onto those 4 bolt holes with shorter bolts, then drill+tap that plate in 2 spots to use the stock battery clips. I also had to use the stock shorty batt wire to extend the cable another foot. Not perfect but the 90% from the front back lays in like it's supposed to be there.
I plan on mounting the amp right to that secondary back wall in the trunk, should work out great being so close to the battery. I also can't help but wonder if sealing this wall would create a great sub box.sigpic

If it were just a normal convertible, I would do an angle iron frame behind the backseat and do 2 10" sealed in that "cavity".
Maybe even two of those goofy 8 ohm 8X12 woofers form tangBand

Guys, bumping this thread from the dead.
We have now replaced this subwoofer with one of our normal production boxes.
The owner of this car, having lived with the old sub for a few years, finally got the chance to hear the new sub...and loved it...so he decided to switch it up.
Hell of a good recommendation IMO, the most famous vert sub ever gets replaced by the new production version...swapped a single 12" for a pair of 8"...sweet, huh?

Big Brudda version?
In one of your threads you mentioned there would be a version 2 you termed big brudda, for bassheads. That setup would allow for extra cone excursion without hitting the surface of the trunk panel that the box butts up against.
Any movement on that version? Or is the existing version already that version? If so, what woofers do you recommend that will outperform the kickers?
