No you need central locking to work.. This just gives you remotes on the locking system..

i installed one of these units on friday using the trunk method. for some reason i could only lock the car. unlock does nothing. i also can't trigger the central unlock at the trunk switch so something wierd is going on

today i relocated the unit to the kick panel and everything works as it's supposed to. module is velcro'd to the top of the abs computer. i have the dip switches in the "on demand" mode, not timed pulse as the timing was too slow to trigger the lock/unlock relays and i was too lazy to adjust the timing. range is as far as i need it to be.

Did you just use the keyless unit or did you have to use any additional relays? I just bought this and now they are trying to sell me relays.

If you got one of the MyPushcart units, you shouldn't need any relays.

Are you guys buying the alarm or just the keyless entry?

I noticed I have an alarm siren under my hood, so I did have an alarm installed at one time although nothing in my records from the PO's.

I'm also looking for an "intrusion sensor" or something that would invoke the alarm if I left the car locked, the top down and someone tried to reach inside the car.

Anyone know what those are called?

I bought the alarm. I actually just got done installing it, pretty straightfoward, took me a couple hours taking my time, stopping for a drink and such.

Did run into a problem though, after wiring everything up, everything functions like it's supposed to, except now the engine won't start. It still cranks... just won't start. It's my impression that if the engine kill switch was at fault, then the engine wouldn't even crank. Is that right?
