First off lets get this straight. The Mason X bar is just a copy of BMW's part, so those that don't wanna step on his toes are funny to say the least. I think Jon does a great job but this is part of the business. Most of the stuff that the big name tuners today such as turner or bimmerworld have just copied what other successfull companies did before them. There isn't too much NEW in the tuner market these days...

YES the braces are directly bolt on = no cutting, drilling, welding
YES the install can be accomplished by the average mechanically astute car owner, although proficient professional expertise is always recomended
YES steel is stronger but heavier and does corrode in our lifetime,I believe the aluminum alloy is 2x stronger in compressoin load situation, steel is stronger in tension/compression
paint scratches should be touched up with hi grade spray paint aerosol
Yes the driving feel reflects -solid handling improvements and the overall upgrade have been substantial according to end users
      CARBON STEEL X = 5 LB ALUMINUM ALLOY6061T6511 X = 3 LB
BRACES = fit all E30 chassis
      and like this

requires drilling bolt holes and assembly spanner work/ all component parts are pre-drilled - task app hours = 2
      new hardware is supplied
final results from users have been of excellent
YES the stuff is made in the USA and of low volume production and is costly = but in the end you get what you pay for
Like I said before weird so what's up with this?

Come to think of it the guy that first brought these up here was banned what's up with that?

If you get the x brace.... would there be any reason to get the lower control arm strut brace?

the X brace will not fit with the skid plate. That is what stated me on this path.

No, one or the other. My cross brace does the same thing, and will fit my skid plates.

So do you have an option for people that run your skidplate then?

Rather not have to have my fabricator reinvent things if there is a solution out there.

I don't have an x brace to work with. If I did I may be able to come up with some thing.

I guess I'll have to come up with a solution that works with your skidplate then.

Is there anyway to intergrate the skidplate and the xbrace? basicly make both as a one piece item? I don't know if this is even possible but it was just a thought

For anyone that made the e30 picnic, ejknight "RACE SKIDS..." was there and he was displaying a beautiful prototype of his front X-brace. Of course, I had to buy it and have since installed it on my Coupe.

It wasn't a "night and day" difference like is is on the Verts but after a few weeks of driving I enjoy the increased rigidity over bumps and even roads. Less pendulum motion from the motor, less steering wheel shake.

                      It just feels tigher.

If he decides to produce it will be the one to have.
