you could spend $4 on new pins and crimp it properly. but whatever.

I only paid like $60 for a new E30 sensor that just plugged right in back in the day. I got a pair of new sensors recently for about $40 total, that will plug right into my new motor.

Great write up, I used a bosch 1990 mustang 5.0 oxygen sensor. Did basically the same exact thing as you but the sensor only cost 27$.
