Well, just due to lack of shock travel. I will be running as low as possible. Also check out this site for a good read on konis and bilsteins.

I just can't weld anything I don't have a welder. Or at least one good enough for the job. Or else I'd at least weld a custom perch.

Go to a shop and have them do it. That's what I did.

True. It probably wouldn't cost much I just have class all week, so hopefully I can squeeze in somewhere.

My buddies willing to weld it up for me. What size pipe do I need to slip nice and snug around the strut housing?

With the coilover kit from GC, whether you shorten the front strut housing or not, can you use the stock upper mounts or do you have to use camber plates since the new springs are a much narrower diameter than the stock springs?

must use plates w/proper sized mount...

The correct sized upper retainers come with the kit.

ooops,,,,thats correct. I recall the gc coil over kit has the upper spring perch.

if i got corrado shocks and i didnt want to install a spacer, meaning i cut 4 inches out of my housing. would that in turn cause 4 inches of lowering?

Yes because you'd have to lower the perch 4 inches.

can someone put together a definite parts list for the G60 route with cutting the housings? I am a little lost between some of the talk back and forth.....

I know I need the coilover kit, spacers for inside the housings, the G60(part#?) shocks, camber kit for up top, what am I missing?

So, the M3 tabs not only fix geometry problems that arise from lowering, but they'll also 'stiffen' up the front more.

Also, why not just cut the tube 4" and eliminate the spacer? It would go a lot lower.
from what i understood, it will elongate the shocks life my giving it the same length of travel.

what are those D shaped metal rings used for that come with the sleeve kit?
