You put them right on top of where you cut your perch for reinforcement.

if the shock body is 4" shorter, that means the shaft is too. Therefore at full droop, your wheel would lose 8" compared to stock... Topping out your shocks is just as bad as bottoming them out. You'd have to be VERY low to be in an acceptable shock travel range to cut the full 4" off.Originally posted by iliescu2Still not seeing why you wouldn't cut 4" if you're going to cut anything at all. And when you cut your bottom spring seat off, I recommend you weld little beads to the bottom of the perch/collar as well as the D-collar provided.
Flat spot on the D-collar faces your wheel by the way when welded on.
